Creative Playground launches

Is Crawley Creative Enough? Help shape Crawley’s creative future. Your way, in your town.

We are happy to be able to share the details of the first activities and events that (if you live, work or study in Crawley) you can take part in over the coming months. Check out Crawley’s Creative Playground website for all the details.

From Friday 14th July you can join us for Free Fridays, where you get to try something creative in your neighbourhood and chat to us about what you’d like to see in Crawley OR you can Come With Us  and visit some shows and events in Sussex or London to see how they might connect with the programme in Crawley or get some support for an idea you have through BOOST.

If you’d like to get more involved you can become a Playmaker. Playmakers are Crawley residents who are willing to volunteer their time to help decide what the programme becomes. You can find out more about voluntary and paid jobs with the project HERE.

Creative Crawley manages the project that is overseen by a consortium of local organisations including Manor Royal BID, The Hawth, Crawley LGBTQU+ and Crawley Town Community Foundation. We’ve been working with the consortium to appoint a team of people to deliver the project through to March 2025.

The Project Co-Directors are Louise Blackwell (Creative Crawley’s Creative Director) and Sophie Eustace. They share the role 50/50 which means Louise works on her role with Creative Playground for 2.5 days a week. You can find out more about the rest of the team HERE.

The project is based at Creative Crawley’s office at Crawley College. To find out more email [email protected] for more details.
