At this event, the public were invited to join award winning artist and cartoonist Daniel Locke as he walked through the stages of building a unique story world and designing and illustrating an original character to occupy it.
Participants were introduced to a range of story telling and illustration skills in an informal and welcoming setting. They were then welcomed to create a Crawley Comic Hero to be part of the giant comic book presentation as part of Aura’s Odyssey, the 5 metre tall puppet that visited Crawley on the 11th – 14th August. The comic book presentation took place on Saturday the 13th in the high street, right outside the Comic Shop.
The event was completely free and suitable to all ages and abilities!
