Want to discover how to make a choreographed stage fight that will make an audience belly laugh? (And why is slapstick called slapstick anyway?!)

Our participants had a laugh out loud time in this workshop, run by one of the UK’s leading physical comedy ensembles. Spymonkey have been making sublimely ridiculous theatre since 1998. In the Spymonkey Slapstick workshop, Joint Artistic Director Toby Park took participants through the rudiments of their physical comedy: fixed points, reactions, pratfalls, trips and stage fighting for laughs. Participants looked at how to build these skills to make a genius slapstick routine with a partner or group! We had great fun learning how to do comedic stage fighting with Toby from Spymonkey.

This workshop was free and suitable for all ages and abilities.
